What If You Put Pressure On Yourself In Life And In The Bedroom?

Do you have an ambitious personality? If so, you probably have a tendency to put a lot of pressure on yourself. And in line with the work that I’m wondering… how does that show up in the bedroom? 

It’s a very personal question but an important one to reflect on. 

It is so important to learn how we can get back into our bodies. Great intimacy does not come from the mind. However, the reality for most people is that they have a hard time getting out of their head. 

Can you relate to this?

And to be clear, this is probably part of your genius and your success. It’s an incredible valuable quality for many areas in life. 

However, in the bedroom this is not where you want to spend your time. 

The reality for most people is that they have a hard time getting out of their head. Simply being present can be a very challenging thing to do.

Imagine on top of that coming home after a busy day of work, many things still to be done, deadlines to be made, business meetings to process, emails to get back to…and maybe there’s even children that need your attention. 

Being present with your wife, or a lover can be very challenging from that point. I hear this all the time from people that I work with. 

One of the keys here is that you have to learn to come back to your body. When someone stops living only from the head up it becomes so much easier to release the stress and come back to confidently connecting. 

Just think of animals, how they have a natural sense of confidence about them. It’s because they are so deeply embodied. When they experience stress, they know how to shake it off and keep going. As human beings, have lost touch with these skills and ways of being.
